Delete Your DermaDetect Account
This page explains how to request deletion of your DermaDetect account and the data associated with it. DermaDetect is developed by DermaDetect Ltd.
How to Request Deletion
To delete your account and all associated personal data, send an email to developer@dermadetect.com with the following:
- Subject line: Account Deletion Request
- The email address you used to register your DermaDetect account
- (Optional) a note indicating whether you would like us to delete your case data only, or your full account and all associated data
What Gets Deleted
Upon successful verification, the following data is permanently deleted within 30 days:
- Your account profile (name, email, date of birth, gender)
- All skin condition photographs you have uploaded
- All symptom questionnaire responses
- All AI-generated preliminary assessments
- All specialist review notes associated with your cases
- Push notification tokens and device identifiers
- Authentication tokens and session data
What We May Retain
In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information after account deletion:
- De-identified, aggregated data used to improve our AI models — this data cannot be linked back to you
- Records required by law (for example, audit logs or financial records) — retained only as long as required by applicable law, typically up to 7 years
- Backup archives — your data may persist in encrypted backup archives for up to 90 days before being purged on our standard rotation schedule
Processing Time
We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verification. You will receive a final email confirmation once the deletion is complete.
